Trent

Explore the mythical village of Trent, complete with King Arthur’s Sword of Excalibur. Savour the golden medieval buildings scattered around a Manor House, the roads lined with original flagstones. Discover the church and its rare spire, topped with a copper cockerel weathervane, while internally it is host to a number of treasures. Pass Trent Manor, a sanctuary for a runaway king, to meet the railway and the river that splits two counties. Visit Adber and its lost chapel, its memory left in a fading cross. Return via open fields, hidden lanes and alongside Flamberts, a World War I Hospital. Arrive back at the Rose and Crown, its thatched roof appearing over the green fields like a Thomas Hardy novel.
