St Aldhelm’s Head

A short walk to the end of the Portland Limestone peninsula of St Aldhelm’s Head. Pass the little, square chapel, dedicated to the same Saint, with a mystical history. Follow the top of the cliff to dip down and climb back up to the war memorial. Discover the hidden Chapman’s Pool, accessible only by footpaths, its coastal waters having proved a problem for many passing ships.
